- Check throttle cable ensuring it’s properly adjusted
- Double check the throttle linkage is lubricated
- Check to make sure the fastener is not too tight
- Check the pedal throttle return spring for weakness, stretching or breaks.
- Check the engine throttle return spring for weakness, stretching or breaks.
- Check for binding in the engine throttle linkage
