Go-Kart Parts, Mini Bike Parts & More Since 1995
For more than 30 years, BMI Karts has been helping customers build, repair, race, restore, and enjoy go-karts and small vehicles. What started as a small CNC machine shop in Fort Loramie, Ohio, has grown into a leading supplier of go-kart parts, mini bike parts, drift trike parts, vintage motorcycle parts, racing components, and accessories to customers across the country.
The History of BMI Karts
In 1995, Steve Barhorst of Fort Loramie, Ohio, founded Barhorst Manufacturing Inc., a CNC machining company specializing in precision parts for local manufacturers, including Crown Equipment. Along with its traditional manufacturing business, the company began producing a small line of parts for racing go-karts.
That small line of racing go-kart parts was the beginning of what would eventually become BMI Karts. As demand for the products continued to grow, the company gradually moved from manufacturing parts for other businesses to selling directly to customers. Barhorst Manufacturing Inc. was eventually rebranded as BMI Karts, and the company continued expanding its product selection and customer base.
Today, BMI Karts stocks thousands of products for go-karts, mini bikes, drift trikes, vintage motorcycles, and other small vehicles. Our inventory includes everything from go-kart engines, brakes, axles, wheels, tires, steering components, exhaust systems, air filters, clutches, sprockets, and suspension parts to performance and replacement components.
Whether you're building a go-kart from the ground up, repairing an existing kart, upgrading a mini bike, restoring a vintage motorcycle, or searching for a hard-to-find replacement part, BMI Karts is committed to providing the products and knowledge you need to get the job done.
Your Source for Go-Kart & Small Vehicle Parts
BMI Karts combines the experience of a traditional karting and powersports retailer with the convenience of online shopping. Our 7,000-square-foot retail showroom in Ohio allows customers to see products in person and speak with knowledgeable staff, while our online store makes it easy for customers throughout the United States and beyond to find the parts they need.
Our extensive selection includes go-kart parts and accessories, racing go-kart components, engines and clutches, brakes and steering components, axles, wheels and tires, mini bike parts, drift trike parts, vintage motorcycle parts, small engine and powersports components, and a wide variety of performance and replacement parts.
Our goal has always been simple: provide enthusiasts with the parts, selection, knowledge, and customer service they need to keep their vehicles running and their projects moving forward.
BMI Event Center
BMI's connection to motorsports eventually led to another major chapter in the company's history. In 2011, BMI constructed what was originally known as BMI Indoor Speedway. The facility was designed for versatility, allowing it to easily transform from a 1/10-mile indoor concrete oval racing track into a full-scale entertainment venue capable of accommodating up to 1,200 guests.
The facility features a large stage, professional sound and lighting systems, a bar area, and food service. Its size and amenities provide a full entertainment experience while maintaining the intimate atmosphere that makes BMI unique. Few venues offer the opportunity to see your favorite artists up close and personal quite like BMI.
Over the years, BMI has hosted more than 100 events, ranging from indoor racing and motorsports events to concerts, special events, and midget wrestling. Nationally recognized performers, including The Oak Ridge Boys, have taken the stage at BMI.
Today, BMI Event Center continues to bring live music, entertainment, motorsports, and special events to Fort Loramie and the surrounding Ohio communities.
